Allen West - "Ya, I said Hell"

Allen West was in the news this week, because he was doing what he does best, stating fact and poking democrats. Recently he took shots at Obama, Pelosi and Reid the big three of the Democrat party and they are none too happy.

More After the Break

Allen West is a house representative from Florida's 22nd congressional district, and ever since his arrival in Congress has been a controversial and polarizing figure in the United States. He arrived in congress with the help of the Tea Party, who not only helped him to his victory in Florida, but also brought about massive victories across the nation during the 2010 house of representative and senate races.

Allen West is a military man who among other things stands for what is great about the United States military, both as far as honesty and integrity and in relation to the other armed forces of the world. In other words he personifies what it used to mean to be an army man, back in what some of us call the good old days.

This can be seen for in an incident in Iraq he violated the United States policy of asking terrorists nicely if they could reveal all their top secret information and instead took it upon himself to save his men's lives. He did this by asking the others to leave the room walking up to the captured terrorist and shooting his gun right beside his head, which of course led the terrorist to become terrified and he spilled his guts. This led to the United States acquiring the necessary sensitive information to locate other terrorists and storm their base without the loss of any American lives. Yet, the best part of this incident is that he took full responsibility for the violation and turned in his gun to his commander and asked for whatever punishment was deemed necessary for his breach of protocol. Luckily for him, his commander also had balls and sense and let the incident slide.

So as one can see Allen West is not afraid to get things done even if it means shaking things up a little bit. This is of course what has happened since his arrival in the senate, from his comments on the soldiers peeing on the dead bodies of enemy combatants incident, to his recent verbal jousts towards the Democratic leadership in the Congress. Basically insinuating that they are commies and if they don't like it here they should leave, because frankly the rest of us do.

Whatever you may think about Allen West he is certainly an interesting character, and I believe someone that can be admired by both sides of the political spectrum, because he calls them like he sees them and is plain spoken about the truth of things. A nice change from the current lies and mis-truths that have polluted the air of Congress since the 1990's.
